Hi
Yesterday I purchased an aw10 jet black, when I saw it under the light I see and scratch at the base of glass.
Is it possible with built issue ?
Thank u all

This is why I'll never buy the Aluminum model Apple Watches...it's insane how soft it's glass is...
I used to have the aluminum watches, and after a year, there were always displeasing micro scratches on the glass. Now I have a S7 SBTi, and it remains absolutely perfect (both body and screen) no matter what I do to it. Can't go back to aluminum!

I never had problems with aluminium watches but I always took care of them.

It’s possible it’s a manufacturing defect. If you bought it yesterday take it back and inspect the replacement in the store.

I only buy aluminium as I don't think these watches are worth more than the aluminium models cost. I have a launch day series 10 jet black with no scratches, although when they come over the next few years I won't be bothered by them. Life is too short for that nonsense IMO.

Agreeable. OP you have 2 weeks to return or exchange it at the Apple Store. Put it back in the box and head back there and exchange it.

To each his own. I get the cellular either way, so it’s a $200 difference on a device I’ll wear almost all day every day for ~3 years. Life is too short to worry about $.18/day. :)

And that’s if you buy new. I got my S7 SBTi from a forum member here when S9 was the newest model, and I paid $250.

I have to get cellular even though I don’t set it up as my iPhone is usually with me at all times.

Because I now only get stainless steel and titanium material for Apple Watch.

No more aluminium!

I would always get cellular anyway even if not setting it up and even if getting aluminium. It still allows emergency calls. I’m in my 50s, that extra peace of mind is worth it.

Especially if y’all have fall detection on it’s useful. Even crash detection. You wear an Apple Watch Ultra right?

Yep, first gen. LOVE it.
Apple Watch ultra also you cannot get it without cellular.

It would not make sense if it didn’t have cellular capabilities as it is meant for folks who backpack 🎒 on trails, camping 🏕️ and hiking 🥾.

And extreme activities.
