More often than not my AW3 reports that my HomeKit devices "are not responding". However I can immediately open my iPhone 6S and see that all my HomeKit devices are working properly. After opening the Home app on the phone and then reopening it on the watch it generally (but not always) works.

Its like the AW3 can wake up or sync a device somewhere along the chain.

Has anyone else run into this? Any solutions? Or does anyone have flawless functionality with the Home app from the watch?
 
Same here AW3 4.2b2.

I find the first time it doesn’t work, but if I issue the same command a second time, it all starts working. As you say, seems to wake up.

Hate to find joy in your problems but I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'll leave feedback for Apple and hope they can fix it for those effected.
