So I have noticed this a few times now.. I have a passcode on my AW3 (latest wOS), I would power it down at night, take it off, and in the morning strap it back on, power it on, it would show the lock icon at the top, I tap the screen to get the keypad, and whatever area I happen to tap (say the weather area), instead of the keypad popping up, the watch auto unlocks and that app fires up. Dumb question, does it recognize that is me, or is there a glitch somewhere that its just bypassing the lock.

Is your iPhone unlocked at this time and is Wrist Detection On?

From my experience, it only unlocks the watch when you actually unlock you phone.

so If you're using your phone, and it's already unlocked when you put the watch on. The watch won't unlock, until you lock and then un-lock your phone.

Yes poorly worded on my part. A scenario is with the X you can put the Watch on and if you X lights up and sees your face it will unlock without you touching it. This will unlock the Watch and the X will go back to sleep and lock. I have done this a couple of times when first putting on and was surprised until I realized what happened.

Thanks, thats exactly what it was.. I never paid attention to whether or not my phone was unlocked at the time, just tried now..
