AW4 Problem - Suddenly not getting Messaging or App notifications

I have an AW4 that I bought new a few months ago. I have it set up to get Messaging and a few app notifications. Last week they all stopped inexplicably. I get Activity, hourly Stand and Breathe notifications and that's it.

Here's the thing though - just every once in a while I will get a message notification. About every 3-4 days I will get one at random. Also, all of my messages are getting sent to AW as they come in because they show up in my watch Messages app.

I have reset and re-paired the watch. Both my phone (iPhone X) and AW software are up to date.

Any other ideas?

Not sure about everything but the watch will generally only get notifications if the phone screen is off. It’s one or the other. Is it possible that your phone is still on when you are trying to get notifications on your watch?

something is definitely wrong.
I have not had that issue with my aw5 + XS.
