Aw5 exercise rings not syncing

I am having troubles with the exercise rings in my fitness app. As you can see from the pictures, I have taken over 30 minute walks today but still the exercise ring is not closing. This bug has happened a couple of times before. My watch is on os 7.1. Anybody else has had the same problem? This is really getting annoying.

I have had a couple of similar occurrences . I walk between one to two hours each morning, and there are times when it takes almost an hour to record a 30 minute event, despite walking at a brisk pace. It is intermittent though.
