Hi,
the Awake/sleep button is not workin anymore on my 3G.
Yesterday evening, I applied a screen protector and put some water (with soap) on it to prevent air bubbles. I did not see any water going into the Iphone (the water sensors are still white).

I left it overnight in a zip-lock with some rice. Did not work ...
I am wondering what would happen if I send it to Apple. Do you think they might exchange it ?

Thanks

What do u mean by "put some water with soap" on it? Did you submerge your iPhone, or just try to clean the screen?

Leaving an iPhone in a zip-lock bag over night with rice is only good if you're trying to get water out of your iPhone.

Chances are, you have a hardware problem. Take it to Apple to get it replaced.

No no I did not submerge the iPhone ....
The liquid was on the screen but I suspect some of it went it the speaker (the one you put next to your ear).

Then it shouldn't have any effect on your power button...

Take it back to the Apple store, you probably have a defective power button. It's a hardware issue, so they should be able to help you.
