Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A347 Safari/525.20)

Have your tried resetting the PRAM? Search for that on google to get the exact key combination. You may asli want to run disk utility and repair your permissions. If none of those work you may want to try a new user to see if you get the same results. Finally, if that doesn't work I would either take it to an Apple Store or call tech support whichever is best in your case.

Did you install InsomniaX?
if you dident, its just a program that prevents your mac from sleeping when the lid is closed which is a good thing sometimes.
If you did then it may have gotten stuck, and prevents your mac from sleeping ever...
There is ways to uninstall it.
What kind of mac are you using?

Do you have AppleCare or still under 90 days within purchase date? If yes, I would consider giving Apple a call. My first MacBook had similar problem. I would shut it down, but when I pulled it from the bag, it was hot, and the battery was drained. It stopped doing it on it's own though, so I'm not helping a lot here.
