I was in Best Buy today, I had $35 reward zone dollars to burn, and I was checking out the open box Macbooks, they had a 15.4, 2.4 GHz, 250gb HD, etc, prev gen model, it was tagged $1295.99, they are offering 18 months same as cash so I was like why not, I get to the register and it rang up $879.99, my eyes lit up and just wanted to get it bought and out the door!

I am about to set it up now, the only think I need to do at somepoint is up the ram.

So in all I walked out with it for $844.99, can't beat that!

Was it an error, or were they really supposed to be priced that low o_O? Congrats lol

My best guess that it was an error, it rang up $879.99, the tag clearly showed $1295.99, I saw $879.99 on the pad, I am not saying anything, and the guy just looked at it and said well you are in luck, so I said great! Funny thing was it had been there since 7/9/09 and I asked the guy would they knock it down some, he said probably not, you are already getting a good deal and it was probably already knocked since 7/9 at least once.

What a deal. Open box deals can be amazing-the stores just want to get rid of it.

They didn't have as many Macs as normal as open box, they had a whitebook, and and 2 13.3 alum.

The 18 months credit deal and back to school is making them busy right now

I didn't ask but I wonder if I could get the free iPod deal, I am in school.
