Ok so when my windows friends use Macs, they love them. In the past 6 months I have pursuaded 7 of my friends to buy Macs, along with my Mum, Brother and workmate. The most common complaints that come up though, are MSN (hotmail is used by absolutely everybody here my age, most people don't even reliase that you can IM through other things like AOL or Skype), and also one of those small things that I actually agree with is the ability to switch between windows within apps. Alt tab in windows allows you to switch between all windows whereas command tab in Mac only takes you through apps.

But ha! I found this by accident when trying to scroll through tabs in Safari.

Press Command+That squiggly line key to the right of the shift key. Ta da! Switching through windows!

I don't think it's a MacBook vs. non-MacBook thing... it depends on the country / localization... or perhaps localisation for you. ;) On the US KBs it is underneath the Escape key in the upper left, MacBook or no.

Yeah well Didn't think about that, I just woke up what do you expect :)

Nice tip.

Being a "mouser" more than a keyboarder, though, I just use a hot corner for the F10 thing and then click the window I want. I can access any window very quickly.

Nice find! I was missing that as well. Sometimes it's just faster than F10 + click on the window you want.
