Awful Case Battery Life on Pro 2 after update

Anyone experiencing awful case battery life after the lastest AirPods update that comes with iOS 26?

I charged the charging case fully this morning and it already needs another full charge.

Before the update the case battery would last at least 2 full days.

Looks like the update has made the AirPods run all the time like the original AirPods or something.

possible the case came open when you set it down?

I've had that happen before, usually live in a drawer net to my wallet and key, one night the case popped open and I missed it, and drained the case.
