It just stopped collecting and logging ambient noise data since last Friday. I checked the settings in the Watch app and it’s toggled on and when I open the app on the Watch it’s working. Moreover it’s collecting and logging noise data from my AirPods. So what could it be? These latest OS releases from Apple are TRASH. Just fire the entire software engineering team, I’m not willing to pay for their incompetence!

Could anyone please check their Health app and let me know whether this is happening to them as well? I'd appreciate it.

It happened to me as well. It did not collect any noise level data from Oct 12-14 although it collected such data before and after that just fine. I have no idea why that happened. I did not do anything special to the watch on those few days.

Mine resumed collecting noise data today. Wondering whether it’s supposed to work that way. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Glad to know it works again for you. Yeah, that should not be an expected behavior. I have no idea what could cause this. It seems very odd.

I was of the understanding that the watch alerts you to dangerous noise levels but, doesn’t collect the readings.

Seems you need to open the App on your Watch every few days to keep it working. Seems to stop after about a week of not using the App.

Had the same issue. No data recorded for 15 days. I erased my watch and set it up again from the backup and I’m already showing data recorded in the health app

Correct. And after any restart or reset of the watch you need to open the noise app once so that it collects data and sends it to health. If you don't open once, it will never start collecting. One of these nasty bugs...
