Hey there,

while I'm absolutely certain that my AWU 3 in black won't be pristine forever, I've just taken it out of the sealed box and spotted some minor imperfections already. I know the black coating won't be 100% perfect on every watch, but this seems like a little too much, doesn't it? Sure, it will age, but I somehow got a problem with 899€ watches having these kind of "mild scratches / imperfections" out of the box.

Too picky and to be expected for the black version?

Simple answer - return it

Absolutely return it - there wasn’t a mark on my ultra 1 after three years, you’re entitled to start with a pristine device. That’s part of the premium pricing and i think Apple understand that.

I would have just gotten Apple to swap it - sure it's gonna get some scratches down the line, but I would like to make those myself
