So, what’s the verdict on Ultra Black’s durability. Does it get scratched on DLC coating at all? Looking to buy AWU 2, but can’t decide between natural Ti and black.

The sharp bezel edge seems to be the place most scuffs show.
Hoping the U3 has those edges rounded off for better durability but it’s doubtful.

The specs on the Titanium Ultra 2 black on Apple's website say nothing about a DLC coating. Perhaps they moved to a less durable finish?

This press release from Apple on 9th September states it's DLC.

It's just the sharp angled bezel, DLC or not it's going to scuff and chip there if knocked or scuffed against something hard and/or rough.

I think if those screen protectors with matching coloured bezel are maybe a good idea for some.

It is, without a doubt, DLC. The problem is that the edge surrounding the screen has a sharp 90 degree edge. Even DLC can be damaged under these conditions. I have a Series 7 SBTi that I wore for years and still looks like new but it does not have the sharp edges like the black Ultra
