Maybe it would be that 12.5” Mac laptop I had wished for after Apple discontinued the 12”. If so, maybe it would be branded as a MacBook instead of a MacBook Air… or not.

Meanwhile, I just bought a 13.6” M4 MacBook Air 16/512 GB for the wife, and I personally have moved on to an 11” M4 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard. Since I use an M4 Mac mini for work and don’t travel for work anymore, I rarely need a Mac laptop anymore.

An Ax MacBook / MacBook Air with 16 GB RAM could be good for my kids for high school though, especially if it is cheaper than the Mx MacBook Air.

Makes a lot of sense. A 16GB only version, with an Ax processor. Likely limited to 512GB of slower storage.

Mx is too good for Apple's own good, they have to scale down or nobody will buy the more expensive models :D
I have an M1 MBP and I can't think of any good reason to upgrade for years to come....

How are you liking just having an iPad Pro instead of the Mac laptop. I really only browse the web on my MacBook but somehow just seem to like the form factor. Though sometimes I feel that a tablet is the best of both worlds if I add a magic keyboard
