AZ MVD launched Drivers License in Wallet this week for both phone and watch. I still can’t believe AZ was the first state but it’s great. I using a 11Pro Max and Series5 watch, both on the latest OS. The process is fairly simple and my license was verified and available in about 15 minutes on my phone. However, Not so lucky with the watch. I started on Wednesday of this week and have tried no less than 20 times to add it to my watch with ZERO success. It shows in the watch app and on the watch that it is available to install but after going through the verification process it comes back with a message that my identity cannot be verified by AZ MVD. The process for the watch is the same as the phone. The app takes a few facial views then a selfie then sends it to MVD who n turn verifies you are you. When you first set it up it asks you if you want to add it to both devices. I clicked yes and pressed on. All photos were taken in the same place. I did the watch right after the phone. I’ve contacted AZ MVD mobile wallet support who have been extremely patient but not able to figure out what is wrong. I contacted Apple Support. Again people were very nice but not able to help. I realize I will probably not have an opportunity to use it but it is convenient to have it available if I fly. The watch is a nicety not necessity but I’m one of those people that if it’s available I want it to work. Yes I’m a pain in the ass.
If anyone else in AZ has been able to get license on both watch and phone, please let me know.I would really like to get this done. Thank you

I went through the process of adding my AZ Driver's License to my iPhone 13 Pro Max & Apple Watch Series 6 doing the same procedure you did by taking the photos and video and submitted them to be verified. Afterwards my license showed up both on my phone and watch without doing anything else additional. Not sure why you are having issues with getting it to show on your watch. In the Watch app on the iPhone under the Wallet & Apple Pay section it shows mine below all the credit cards I have available on my watch. When I double-click the side button on my watch and scroll down to the bottom of the list of cards, my AZ Driver's License card shows near the bottom there as well. If I tap on the license card and then press the "info" button it brings up all of my personal information associated with my AZ Driver's License. Not sure what else you can try, but hopefully it gets worked out for you without too much more trouble.

Thanks for your reply. I'm resetting my watch and will try again. I might just delete it completely from phone and do the whole process again. I'm just concerned that the MVD system will reject it and say you already have the license on a device.

MacManiac, I’ve had success. I ended up completely removing license from wallet and starting again. For verification I went with AZ MID, (Mobile Identification) to finish the process. My license is now in Wallet on phone and watch. Small victories are always rewarding.

Glad you got it all worked out.

I’m so envious of y’all. I really wish South Carolina would get on board with this!

I just saw this update in a email actually and I recently moved to Hawaii and still use that ID. Just finished the process (1 min in total) and 1 min later got wallet notification of "Arizona St ID" is ready to use for both devices. But mind you I am iPhone13 Pro Max/Apple Watch 4 non cell. I just hope if/when I ever have to solely rely on that for Identification purposes they don't ever read the very bottom part of "State ID info" which would be the words "Real ID= NO" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol
