I have a torrent file that's 12Gb odd. I checked some of the boxes to select what I want to download (3Gb max) yet in Az it still says 11.8Gb remaining.

What's up with that? Am I actually downloading 12Gb or not?

No, if the boxes are unchecked, you're fine. You know that you can see what you're downloading if you double click the torrent and check under 'files,' right?

The stupid thing about azureus is even if you elect to download portions of a file, once you're done the torrent won't move to the completed torrents box (the bottom box)...

Absolutely correct. But if you think about it, it makes sense that it doesn't move to the Seeding window because you haven't actually completed the whole thing.
