I experimented with comparing different monitor resolutions on a Power Mac G4, Dual Processor, 2001 about. You can choose from like 720 x 480, and 1550 x 1660, etc in various frequencies. Not knowing I was about to cause a problem I clicked on a Monitor setting that DID NOT work in any way with my ViewSonic Monitor, nor any of the totally unique monitors I owned.
How Do I reset it so the computer shows on Monitors, when I can't see the monitor to do the typing? Is this a repair shop condition? I tried a recommended Safe Boot, but can't make any alterations to screen resolution, because safe boot bypasses ALL of those System Preferences. Seems like there has to be some way of changing the monitor setting somewhere, but control panels is disabled with the Safe Boot. If I reboot turning on control panels, it goes back to my mistaken setting. Where the heck to I go now?
