[b][/b] my screen wont swipe and i need help

My iphone 4s wont swipe (started this morning). People have called, texted, alarm went off, nothing.


I'm waiting to kill the battery, but would the verizon store be able to fix it?


Any advice is much appreciated.

If it is a hardware problem you would be better off going to Apple rather than Verizon.

Did you try hard reset?

Yes.

If hard reset is holding the top and bottom buttons, yes...many times.

I recently downloaded ios8 and haven;t liked it at all.

What do i do?

Restore?

Yes, the screen issue is still ongoing.

NEW INFO:

when my girlfriend texted me, it came up as her number and not her name.

I wonder if something happened and stuff got deleted.
