I'm really over my 2016 MacBook (which I downgraded to from the 2012 15" Retina after that got destroyed at the airport) and am heavily considering jumping on this. For someone who doesn't need the very latest machine, this is a pretty great deal right? I've looked through some other retailers, including eBay, and for the specs it doesn't look like there's a better option out there at the moment. Opinions?

The keyboards on the late 2016 Pros are not the exact same as the horrible ones on the first generation 12" MacBooks are they? That's honestly one of my biggest gripes with my current machine.

Nope, 2016+ MBP use 2nd generation, 2017+ rMB use 2nd generation too. Plenty of threads on that though.

And you're still paying a lot for someone who doesn't need the latest and greatest, why not get a 2015 refurb or something?
