Got my order today from B&H Photo Video Pro Audio. It was very poorly packed. It was placed in a very large box and all of the cushions were deflated by the time FedEx delivered the package.

The USB port closest to the outside edge on the TB3 dock is not accepting a standard USB A type cable. This cable worked just fine on the TB2 dock.

I've sent an email to B&H to let them know this order did not meet the standards they usually have for customer experience and that we may need to discuss a replacement or a refund.

I have always had good luck with B&H so hopefully they take care of you.

Now as for OWC, that is a different story... I am about to toss my OWC TB3 dock in the trash. I bought one, and it worked fine for a few months and then slowly began to crap out. Monitors would flash off and on and occasionally go blank and not come back on until I powered off the dock for several seconds. It got bad enough that I contacted OWC as it was still under warranty. It took several phone calls and trying replacement cables (which I had already tried) and finally a 3 hour marathon phone session with someone in their support people before they grudgingly agreed to exchange it. Sent t back, got a new replacement and it worked fine too...for a couple of months. Now the monitors are flashing again and the entire thing froze again until I unplugged it. I'm looking for a replacement from another vendor (likely the Caldigit) and won't be buying anything from OWC again.

The TB2 dock is 2 years old and works well.

Found the usb issue. One of the prongs on the female port was down too far. Was able to fix it. Still unhappy with how it was packaged for shipment and the fact I had to repair it in the first place.
