Hi

I got a old Macbook first generation intel (released in 2006).
Screen flashing with question mark folder.
Replaced it with new internal hard drive(needs formatting)
When iam trying to boot from CD its not going to disk utility mode or so and spitting the CD out flashing the folder again.

Can somebody please help how to fix this.

Dumb question but are you holding c when you are booting?
