Hi,

When I boot my Macbook I just get a black screen, the computer turns on just fine, but it doesnt display anything on the screen.

did a little research, and found that a SMC reset would fix the problem. Did it, worked for a while, then it turned off. turned it on again, and again just the black screen.

Did SMC reset again, but when I do this, I plug the battery again, I turn it on, and it stays on for about 2 seconds and turns off again. When I turn on again, black screen.

If I plug it to the magsafe, it will turn on (without pressing the power button) and turn off after 2 seconds... and again, black screen after that.

Can anyone help me?

If it's a 2010/2011 15"/17" model, GPU failure has hit it.
