So I e-mailed myself some cool black and white art (a drawing of a person) because I wanted to use it as wallpaper on my iPhone. So I opened up Mail, opened the e-mail, downloaded the jpg of the art, and then pressed down on it until the "save" button showed up, and saved it to my photo roll.
When I went to Photos, the B&W line art image showed up (they way it SHOULD look) in the thumbnails. But when I pressed it, the image showed up full screen for only half a second -- and then it immediately changed to this:
I thought it was just a weird one-time bug, but then I tried to send myself a bunch of other images. Normal color images (either artwork or real photos) that were downloaded this way showed up fine. Also, Black and white photos of real things also showed up fine. Black and white ART, however, always showed up messed up like the image above. I even did a test where I downloaded a color piece of art (which showed up fine), and then changed it to black and white in Photoshop (actually "grayscale" mode), and tried to download the same image -- and once it was B&W, it always appeared messed up like above.
Does this happen for anyone else??
EDIT: Ok, so I googled "black and white art" on my phone, and downloaded some pieces from Safari this time, and they showed up as normal in Photos! I figured it might just be some Mail bug, and that I would have to use the Safari workaround to get the B&W art on my phone to look ok. But then I put the art that I had before in my iDisk space, and went to where they would be in Safari, and downloaded...and they STILL looke messed up! Which makes me believe there is something wrong with my files?!?
