B&W cheap available video cards?

HI, what cards can I put into my B&W 350mhz g3? It has the stock ati rage 128. I am kinda new to apple so please bear with me.

Can I use a ati 7000? Does it have to be pci? Are PC cards and MAC cards the same, ie do i have to buy a "mac" edition?

Can I use an ati 8500? PCI?

Is there another ATI (or whatever..not sure if you can use nvidia) card that is cheap and better than the above mentioned?

I'd rather not spend a lot of money on it, so either the 7000 or 8500 would work for what I want it to do.

You will need a "Mac" card, and, yes, it HAS to be PCI. (No AGP slot in a B&W G3).

ATi has a Radeon 7000 PCI and the Radeon 9200 PCI grfx cards available.
The 7000 is a couple of years old now, and should be cheap. (eBay?)

The 9200 is a modern card (well, for Mac standards anyway ), and wil cost you around $ 120 orso.

If you want to use Mac OS 9 only than even a Voodoo 5 5500 Mac edition could fit your needs too. This card is obsolete for a couple of years now, but maybe someone is eBay-ing it too.

In short:
ATi Radeon 7000 PCI Mac edition (32 MB VRAM): cheap. Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X compatible.

ATi Radeon 9200 PCI Mac edition (128 MB VRAM): best card, but > $ 100. Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X compatible.

3Dfx Voodoo 5 5500 PCI Mac edtiton (64 MB VRAM): gr8 card for older games, but Mac OS 9 compatible only. No Mac OS X!
