Is there anything such thing as an airport card for this old powermac ? Put differently is there a way to connect it to an airport network apart from directly to the base station ?
I know that soem Wintel users have been able to use PCI cards. Check ot Linksys or Belkin. They might have Mac compatibility, as most of their products do.
BiPolar, that adapter card is for iMacs, windwaves has a B&W tower. windwaves, you should check out the Belkin FD6050 and NetGear MA101. Both are USB devices, not much bigger than a mouse. The Belkin has both OS 9 and OS X drivers but is twice as much. The NetGear doesn't have Mac drivers, but it is possible to tweak the Belkin drivers to make it work in OS X. I've tried to modify the OS 9 drivers but with no success. Check out this link, and this (as yet unreplied to) forum thread.
