B&W G3, DVD-RAM, max size?

What's the maximum size DVD-RAM disc the drive in a B&W G3 can use? I've got the 2.6 GB disc that came with the G3, but I've seen a few DVD-RAM discs of bigger sizes.

Am I stuck with the 2.6 GB disc, or can I get a bigger one? And does anyone know what brands will work in this drive?

Also, what's the deal with double sided discs? If, say, there's a double sided DVD-RAM disc with a capacity of 4.7 GB or whatever, can I write 4.7 GB on each side, or just half of that on each side?
