B&W G3 Only recognizing half of a 512MB stick

Does the B&W G3 have a restriction of 256mb per stick? Because when I put a 512mb stick in it will only recognize half of it.

Not sure, perhaps the B&W need single side Modules like my G3 Beige

RAM limit of the G3 B&W is 1 GB (4x256 MB).

that is normal for the G3 BW, the Grackle MPC106 memory controller/south bridge only supports up to 256MB Low density (16 chip) RAM sticks

512MB sticks are always seen as 256MB (and high density 256MB sticks are only seen as 128MB)
