B&W G3 with Radeon 7000 won't run Apple DVD Player in OS 9

It says it lacks the required hardware, suggests I close other apps using video or audio, etc., then try to open Apple DVD Player again. Well, I'm not running any other apps when I try the DVD Player. If I plug the old rage 128 card in it will work, but I don't get any special features like the radeon has. Anyone know how to FIX THIS PROBLEM?

I should also note that the OS X DVD Player doesn't even OPEN. I'm running 10.3.5 when I try that.
