I found out that i'm not allowed to use the $100 rebate to purchase microsoft office 2011 but I only can use that to purchase iWork~~ Can i use the $100 rebate to purchase office 2011 in retail shop?

then the rebates seems like useless to me... Is it legal to sell it out? Is there any demand on the market?
When they announced the apps store gift card instead of an iPod, the first thing I did was look for Office in the app store. Having not found that, I looked for Warcraft 3 or Starcraft 2...

Only if you buy the mac at Best Buy and get their $100 gift card. The Mac App Store gift card that you got with your computer is only good on Apple's various app stores.
Good question not sure, it said theyd match the appl promotion not sure if its only the gift card though
