I had Android all my life and switched to iOS and I love everything about the iphone except its back gesture and lack of a back button. Its odd that Safari has a on screen back button but nowhere else will you find a back button.

I just don't find the back gesture very fluid, first off the screen has to be at a complete stand still in order to attempt a back gesture. Other times I find myself trying a back gesture and the screen bounces up or down. I realize Apple will never implement a back button in apps but I believe the back gesture could use some improvement.

There are a number of apps on iPhone that have a back button, the 1st two that spring to mind are Tapatalk and the Google app.

I find the back gesture working perfectly fine, working much better than Samsung and Huawei phones’, with android 10 gestures, that I’ve had.

Back button is so 2012 🤮 once you get use to iPhone gestures, the back button will be a distant memory.

Swiping to previous screen has worked wonderfully for me and I never use the back arrow on Safari or any other app that has them
I can only think of one app (sky news) that it doesn’t work in. However in all other apps it works really well and has done for years.
