Back to Apple for phone and watch - the S25U is a superb phone, but not for me...

I like the idea, but I didn't like the end result. Didn't think the pictures were that great; also I was missing the continuity of Apple working with Apple and was reaching for my 16 Plus more than anything else

So S25U & GWU sold on - everything's on my 16Plus for now and may look to buy a cheap phone for business AWU2 on its way to me today, so will get that set up later

Having had the 16PM before this; TBH I cannot tell the difference bar looks - the 16Plus does all I need of it and still takes superb pictures etc...

If I upgrade; not sure I'd go for the Pro Max

Welcome back!

I also find nothing wrong with Android phones. I had a Nothing 2a for a few months last year and it was brilliant. Its just small personal annoyances that put me off, thats all. There are too many exclusive apps on iOS and I find Google Pay to be infuriating, only working 60% of the time on first tap and not having an additional security layer past the lockscreen. Did you have these problems on the S24U?

Must agree that GP really annoyed me; couldn't just double tap and go, had to verify with my thumb print all the time etc

Loved the galaxy but the AW is so much better. I returned to Apple after 6 months.

I really like the GWU; I like its form and styling etc. But it won't work with iOS so it had to go as well.

Looking forward to getting the AWU2 - gone for the titanium one again rather than black, which is the last one I had

I have the Google Pixel 3a XL, which is a 2020 issue phone. Used that for about 9 months before switching back to iPhone (current phone is the 11 Pro Max).

I had wanted for some years to retry Android, but using a the pure OS from Google. Previously, any attempts at using Android (the 2010-2020 era) convinced me that it was all a mess. So, in this retry it went better. But, I also learned that there is something about the polishing of iOS that I prefer. And since you can only run iOS on iPhones, back to Apple I came.

That said, it's not services that keep my on Apple. As I mentioned, it's iOS. 95 percent of my services on my iPhone are Google and Dropbox. I use one or two iCloud services mainly for convenience. In this way, it's easy for me to hop back and forth between platforms and I intentionally set it up this way back in late 2012.

I don't intend to go back to Google, or to Samsung or wherever in the future. But I can, having my services set up this way. It also makes it easy for my Macs and PCs and anything else that I need services to be cross-platform on.

So really, the only thing holding me to iPhone is iOS (and not the services).

😂

Got a 16PM now - my Dad needed a new phone, his SE is just useless and TBH he needs face recognition too with his hands being so unsteady

So he's got my (now his) 16 Plus and I got my 16PM today via Amazon UK

Still need to sort a business mobile; I am using my Pixel 4XL currently, but need a 5G device really as if/when broadband drops here (which is does have a habit of doing) I need to be able to connect back up ASAP

Think I'll get a 13 or 14 Pro Max off eBay UK - least I know then it'll work as I need it to with my Mac etc
