Back to School Promo and iPhone....??

Have not seen to much about this, maybe should have searched more, but....

Does anyone know, or heard anything about using the current Back to School Promo (Buy a Mac, get a iPod for free) with the iPhone. The cost of the 16 3G iPhone and iPod are the same, so I would hope that Apple adds the iPhone into thieir promo once th 3G iPhone is released.

Anyone know?

Highly unlikely.

If they do this, they will get a bunch of people who already bought a computer + iPod Touch whining and complaining about how they really wanted an iPhone, how come they couldn't get one!!!

$199/$299 is the subsidized price through AT&T, it is rumored that AT&T buys the phone from Apple for $524/$624 and they make up the price difference through the contract you get locked into.

Doubt it, Apple wouldn't change their rules for back to school promo now but if im wrong thats good for all of us
