Back to school promo

I was wondering when does apple have the back to school promotion for the free iPod. I want to get one of the new mbp but I almost think it's worth it to wait. Not that i even need the touch I have an iPhone and iPad but maybe I could use it or sell it to help offset the cost. What are some other peoples thoughts on this.

Apple has always been in full swing with the promo by the middle or late summer before, so with the refresh, figure by August, at the latest. They throw a printer in, as well. I don't see Apple skipping the promo this year, since there's a lot of Back to School sales from their competitors. Apple won't lower the price on the MBs or MBPs, so this is the inducement.

Hope they dont discount the iPad. I wouldn't want that with a laptop nor is their a need for it if I am buying a laptop. I would definitely prefer an iPod touch.

Traditionally the back to school promo has started early-mid June.
