Sorry, Apple, Lion just doesn't hack it. Too slow, too many freezes, too many app locks. I just stepped back to SL and everything zips away with no issues. Guess I'll have to wait a couple of releases ...

Just wanted to say that all the problems you appear to be having have not come up at all on my 2011 MBA. Would you be better off with a fresh install of Lion?

Possibly - I have just ordered a new MBA with Lion on it so I will try, initially, a few apps. But I am running so many apps, with so many licenses, settings and files that copying is the only way forward. Unless someone has a bright idea ? Not the techiest of people, therefore using a Mac that does the thinking for me ;-)
