I don,t care that much about looks

What I really want is a cover for the back that is maybe sort of tacky like silicon
I like to set iPad on my legs or arm of couch and not have it sliding around

Right now I have a piece of tacky mesh type shelf liner glued on back - keeps coming loose but works real good

Yea I know there are a bunch of folks who are all into lookin cool and all that but I am far more interested in function over cool factor

Anyone found a non slippery back cover?
Thanks

I had the same problem...the back felt like it was gonna slip out of my hands any minute. I applied the invisible shield on the back and I was amazed at how nice it felt and how much grip it added.

I suspect that's about the best solution the OP is likely to find. A "tacky" cover, I suspect, would call for advertising aimed at "tacky" consumers. :)

Belkin snap back

I added the Belkin back cover that snaps on. I was concerned that it would connect tightly and securely enough for me to glue the HandeHolder ring onto it and not fear that my iPad would be in jeopardy. Once I snapped it on I had a heck of a time prying it off to remove a stray cat hair that lodged in the middle. I have no fear that my new accessories will fall off.

I got my Belkin back at Target for $30. I wish they had colors other than gray but it's OK. It's translucent enough that you can still see the Apple logo and it has a warmer and better grip feel than the metal back.plus I'll be attaching my Velcro ring to it instead of my precious iPad that I'm doing my best to keep in pristine condition.

I had the Belkin but after a while it gut yellowed and ugly. I tried the Aviiq, but ended up with the Incase Magnetic Snap Case ($40) from Best Buy. It give the back a rubbery feel, and seems very well made.

e-Grips 100% the best solution & product.
I also find TPU to be easily gripped.
