I am new to Mac and was using AnyDVD and CloneDVD to back up my DVD library. They do not make software for the Mac so I was wondering if you guys could make recommendations for programs that will allow you to make backup copies of DVD's for home use. Thanks in advance for the help.

EDIT: I did do a search but the most recent discussion about this is almost 4 months old so I just wanted to see if there was anything new.

You can do this with Handbrake, it is pretty good, and free. but unfortunately it will be a lossy process. sometimes takes a long time (avg 5 hours per 2 hour movie). I advice you try this third party DVD ripper for Mac, it works pretty well. If you are interested in it, here is a guide about how to download and use it

I just tried RipIt for the first time last night. Drop dead simple. You literally just press the "start" button, and you're good to go.
