Just updated to 11.2 on a 2017 MBP.
Time Machine no longer finds the back-up disk (Airport Time Capsule shows connected). When I select the back up disk it shows there old back-ups and but when opening Time Machine it say “awaiting first back-up”. I deleted the old back-up on the Time Capsule to start fresh, but an new back-up does not get started (drops back from “preparing back-up” without any error message).
Any idea how to fix? Thanks!
 
iMac user here, mine right after update gave me warning the external drive could not be repaired.

Nothing I did let TM use it anymore so I had to erase it and start anew. That this happened immediately after updating really disturbs me as I told TM to backup and let it finish prior to the update.
