Back up from a Security copy ( Time machine)

Hello, I reinstall the system in my Macbook, and I would like to back up everything form my security copy Hard Disk ( time machine). I tried to do it from the CD Disc rebooting, but since I did the upgrade of the software forom 10.6 to 10.6.7 It won't allow me reboot again.
How can I reinstall all my documents, aplications ect. from a Tiime machine. of the system before?
