Back Up in Recovery Mode

If I have back up to external hdd in recovery mode like this below video does it would back up all of files ?

The best kind of backup to have when you have "a boot problem" with the internal drive is...

... a bootable, cloned backup created with either CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper.

Both are FREE to download and try for 30 days.

I suggest you do so.

Yes... the process would create a disk image clone of Macintosh HD.
