Back up photo's to DVD

What would be the best way to back up my 27gb iphoto library to DVD? I have toast installed so maybe use that. Any other options without spending any cash.

iPhoto can export all of the original files for you, maintaining their size and format. All you'd need to do is group them into DVD-sized chunks, and start burning.

DVD's are becoming dated media, if you have a lot of photos, i'd invest in an external HD. that way you can store more of everything, not just dvds. you figure a DVD holds 4GB, that's already 6 dvd's to have lying around. and, you can't read/write over them (obviously if they're RW you can..).

I do back up with an external HD, but also want to back up the back up. If my house was to burn down or so other random act of god should happen I want to keep a copy else where for irreplaceable family pictures.
