Hey!

I am using Backup 3 (i think- it is whatever you get for free with the mac). Anyway, as I try to back uip, only MY files B/u, not my wifes or daughters. OK, I do a think where all our accounts are "regular" and I figured it must be a permission thing. So I log in as Admin, and try again. Only some files, not all.

ANy ideas????

you can do a custom and select file/folders and then goto the users folder and find the files/folders to backup and that sjould work

Thanks Spanky! I will try this tonight, when I am at my mac.

Just got a nice External HDD- 400 gig seagate for 200!

No Go.

I just got home, logged in as admin, and clicked on the Users folder to select all the users files. As I look into the actual User directories, I see little red marks on the directories- this means they will NOT back up.

For instance, in my daughters folder, Apllications is OK, Desktop & Documents have a red Minus sign, Games is OK, Library, Movies, Music and Pictures are redded out, Public and Sites are OK.

Now what?
