I'm confused, but that's nothing new. Previously, I was using Time Machine with a Passport external drive. The hard drive in my MBP died, and I was able to restore my data through Time Machine. The next day my Passport died, so I went out and bought a Time Capsule. I haven't opened it yet, since I've been considering online storage through Carbonite.
If I get Carbonite, is there a benefit to still having Time Capsule? Why would I need both? Is there a better option than Carbonite for the money? I only have a MacBook Pro that my wife and I use. I sync to that an iPad and two iPhones. I also have 25GB of iCloud storage for us both, but may be able to get rid of that if I can back up the data elsewhere.
Thanks
