I need help - I'm using a app from the mac app store called "screeny" that allows me to copy any video/audio clip being played on my iMac. The app works well but i can't figure out how to eliminate the ambient noises from around my house.

I have tried the button in system preference that reduces the ambient sound but I really need to be able to completely eliminate the outside sounds and only record the audio the is part of the original clip - any idea how this can be done on a iMac running the most updated version of lion?
