Backing up 2 drives with Time Machine?

Hi,
I have a question about external hard drives and backing up.

I plan to have a lot of photos and videos on my new Mac, which I think will quickly exceed the 200GB internal hard drive on my MBP. So I'm thinking of a 1 TB external hard drive as the primary source of storing these photos and videos.

But I'm also looking to back up that external hard drive. So is it just a matter of plugging in a second external hard drive (1.5 TB?) into my MBP every week and Time Machine will know to backup both my MBP's internal hard drive as well as the external hard drive? Or is it more complicated than that?

No idea, but I would re-title your thread to something like, "Using Time Machine with 2 Drives" if that's what I'm reading...

Otherwise, if its just having an external drive with all your photos and such, and wanting to backup THAT external drive with Time Machine, then try "Backing up an External drive with Time Machine (to another drive)", cause I have no idea if that's possible either.

Thanks...I've re-titled this thread...hopefully, that'll clarify things.

I guess my questions boil down to...
1) Can Time Machine back up two drives (one internal, one external)?
2) If not, can Time Machine back up at least the external?
3) What is the best way to back up a 1 TB external drive?
