I've just bought the 24 box set (seasons 1 - 5), and basically, I would like to have it all backed up on my MacBook so I can watch it without having to keep the discs with me.

Space is an issue, so something like <10GB per season would be great. Is there a program that can do this for me? Thanks.

If you care about keeping the menus and everything, you can use Mac The Ripper to directly rip the DVD.

My suggestion however, is to use Handbrake/Mediafork. It converts all the episodes into mp4 (or another file type if you want) that play in iTunes and even on the iPod if encoded correctly.
