Hello all,

I'm hoping to be able to backup my contacts from my 4S to my macbook in case the phone is ever lost or stolen. I'm under the impression that contacts aren't part of the normal backup process and must be manually transferred to my computer.

I'm afraid that if I go into iTunes --> info --> sync address book contacts, my blank address book on the laptop will replace all of my phone numbers and contacts on the 4S. I'd like to have the information go the other way, from the phone to the laptop, and be stored in a way that would be easy to put on a new phone.

Thanks for any help!
