Backing up DVD problems with Toast 8

I am legally backing up a DVD I own. I used MacTheRipper to rip the DVD, and Toast says that the 'contents of the Video_TS folder cannot be compressed'.

Again, I own this DVD and am making a backup copy, as I have younger brothers with frickin' razor blades attached to their fingertips.
