Backing up/Exporting from Mail

All Mail Accounts, settings and messages are stored in the following places :
/users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/mail/
/users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
You could backup these or alternatively use time machine to backup your mail, assuming you have Leopard installed.
