hi, i reinstalled osx on my powerbook so it's just a base system again. I have an external without an oxford chipset so I cannot boot from that external. I would like to copy from one partition of my external to my powerbook though. So, I was thinking I could make a disk image of the first partition (the partition I want to copy) and put that image on the second partition (of the external) and then boot with my install CD and 'restore' from the image on the second partition. Does anyone think this will work?
