Hi,
I've got an old eMac, and want to back it up so I can reinstall Tiger with Classic support. I want to use Disk Utility to do this, as I've been using it quite a bit. The eMac only has a 40GB HD, which is 4GB away from being full, so my current solution is to back it up onto one of my networked windows PCs which has plenty of free space.
I tried to do this, but can't, because the 'resource is busy' as I am running the OS off that partition/disk. I tried booting off the Tiger disk to make the image, but couldn't find a way to connect to the Windows PC.
Perhaps there's a way to connect via terminal? i have some *nix knowledge (I'm an Ubuntu user also) so I'm completely open to that kind of an option if it exists.
Thanks
